I would like to apply for the Graphics Engineer role you have posted on your careers page. My focus these past few years has been graphics programming, and I would be glad to bring that to your team.
Ahead of writing I read about NVIDIA, and what stood out was your work on real-time ray tracing and the engineering posts on how your rendering teams push visual fidelity on modern GPUs. This looks like a strong time to join, and I would gladly put my graphics programming experience to work there.
Reading the posting, the three needs that stand out most are building the rendering pipeline, writing shaders and GPU code and hitting visual quality and frame budgets. Those decide whether a graphics engineer works out, and I have real results behind each.
On building the rendering pipeline, my daily tools are HLSL, rendering techniques and the graphics pipeline. As a Graphics Engineer at Activision, I handled building the deferred renderer that powered our biggest release. Beyond that, I wrote the shader library the whole art team now works against.
For writing shaders and GPU code, I rely on GPU profiling, shader optimization and Vulkan. In my time as a Graphics Engineer at Activision, I took on cutting GPU frame time by 25 percent with a rewritten lighting pass.
On hitting visual quality and frame budgets, I bring lighting, post-processing and PBR. Working as a Graphics Engineer at Activision, I owned landing physically based rendering that held up on both console and PC. On top of that, I held a stable 60 fps at 4K while raising visual fidelity across the board.
I would be glad to walk through this in an interview and show why I fit. I am ready to build rendering that looks stunning and runs fast, and to grow with the studio.
