Dear Sauce Labs Talent Acquisition team,
I would like to apply for the SDET role you have posted on your careers page. My focus these past few years has been test automation, and I would be glad to bring that to your team.
Ahead of writing I read about Sauce Labs, and what stood out was your cross-platform test cloud and the engineering write-ups your team keeps publishing on cutting flaky tests. This looks like a strong time to join, and I would gladly put my test automation experience to work there.
Reading the posting, the three needs that stand out most are test framework design and automation, API and integration test coverage and CI/CD test infrastructure. Those decide whether an SDET hire works out, and I have real results behind each.
On test framework design and automation, my daily tools are Java, Selenium and Playwright. As an SDET at Stripe, I handled building the end-to-end test framework the whole org writes against now. Beyond that, I cut flaky-test failures by wiring in retries and better waits.
For API and integration test coverage, I rely on REST Assured, Postman and contract testing. During my time as an SDET at Stripe, I took on adding API and contract tests that caught breaking changes before merge.
On CI/CD test infrastructure, I bring Jenkins, Docker and test pipelines. Working as an SDET at Stripe, I owned standing up the CI test infrastructure so suites run in parallel on every push. Beyond that, I brought the full regression run down from an hour to under ten minutes.
I would be glad to walk through this in an interview and show why I fit. I am ready to build the test infrastructure that lets your engineers ship fast without breaking things, and to grow with the team.
I would be glad to find a time to talk.
Yours sincerely,
Theo Script
