  • Facilitate quarterly PI Planning for 220 people on Miro alongside Big Room Planning, Open Space sessions, and value stream workshops, anchoring program objectives, dependency walls, and risk ROAMing, and holding the SAFe PI commitment hit rate at 89% over the last four PIs.
USAA Senior Scrum Master
San Antonio, TX Apr 2017 - Jul 2021
  • Led value stream mapping across 3 claims and policy value streams with Engineering, Product, and Operations, attacking bottlenecks and handoff waste via Lean and Theory of Constraints, and cutting end-to-end lead time from 46 days to 19 days.
  • Partnered with directors to reshape team structures using the Team Topologies framework, splitting and merging 7 squads to reduce dependencies and cognitive load, supporting the evolution over 9 months with weekly topology reviews, and pairing the redesign with Scrum coaching on the newly stream-aligned teams.
  • Drove Kanban adoption and XP engineering practices across 5 squads as a deliberate alternative to Scrum where flow fit the work better, using cycle time as the framework-fit signal and helping teams choose, adapt, and apply the right model instead of defaulting to one.
  • Served as Senior Scrum Master to the claims-platform squad of 8 engineers, 2 QA, and 1 designer on Jira, running Scrum events, removing impediments, and mentoring 3 newer Scrum Masters across the platform tribe through their first scaling cycles.

About this template

An Agile Coach
Resume Template, by a Technical Resume Service.

Quick intro: 12 years of recruiting experience, including many years at Google. I now run a technical resume service aimed at Agile and delivery roles, and Agile Coach rewrites are a steady part of the mix. Coach CVs sit in a tricky spot: recruiters see a lot of them, and most read the same. So when I write about these resumes, it is from the screening seat, not from an Agile conference recap.

Most folks who land here pay for the full custom rewrite. We dig into the teams you coached, the leaders you shifted, the transformation roadmap you delivered, the flow metrics you moved, the value streams you mapped. If a clean skeleton with Agile-Coach-shaped placeholders is what's missing, this template fills the gap. ATS-clean, free, no signup. Have a play.

How it works

How to use this template
to write an Agile Coach resume

The structure here was written by a former Google recruiter. The placeholders force you to be specific exactly where it matters: scaling framework, transformation roadmap, coaching practice, and quantified flow and team outcomes.

Strong Agile Coach bullets are not written in one sitting. They land through five stages. Stage one names the coaching activity you owned. Stages two and three add the tool and the framework you operated in. Stage four names the coaching practice behind the work. Stage five quantifies the team-of-teams, leadership, or flow outcome. Bullets that reach stage five are the ones a hiring manager pulls into the screen. The full breakdown lives in How to Write Bullet Points for Tech Resumes.

  1. 01 Task What you coached
  2. 02 Tools Jira, Jira Align, Miro
  3. 03 Framework SAFe, LeSS, Scrum, Kanban
  4. 04 Practice Team Topologies, VSM, Lean
  5. 05 Metric Cycle time, DORA, PI hit rate

This template wires the five stages straight into the bullets so the framework runs in the background. The side panel slots into the levels: Agile-tool and facilitation picks fill stage 2, scaling and team framework picks fill stage 3, the coaching-practice fields fill stage 4, the metric fields land at stage 5. The sentence shells carry stage 1. Why this matters: you do not have to think about the framework while you write. Drop in real teams, real leaders, and real numbers, and the resume reads at stage 5.

  1. Pick your stack

Tap a chip to swap Jira for Jira Align or Rally, SAFe for LeSS or Scrum@Scale, Scrum for Kanban or XP, Miro for Mural or FigJam. Every mention on the page updates at once.

  2. Drop in your numbers

Teams coached, leaders coached, transformation milestones, mentees, workshops per quarter, cycle time, deploy frequency, PI commitment hit rate, value-stream lead time. Don't have yours yet? The defaults pass for a senior Agile Coach resume.

  3. Save as PDF

Click Download. The page generates a real vector PDF with selectable text and clean US Letter formatting. ATS-parsable.

Frequently asked

Your Questions about the Agile Coach Resume Template, Answered

Yes, completely free. No signup, no email gate, no premium tier waiting around the corner. Pick your tools, drop in your numbers, save the PDF. The paid resume-writing service funds the template; the template itself stays free for everyone.

Yes. The export is single-column with the section headers ATS systems expect (Profile Summary, Technical Skills, Education, Work Experience), no tables, no images, no two-column tricks. Workday, Greenhouse, and SmartRecruiters parse it cleanly. Drop the exported file into our ATS Checker if you want a second pair of eyes.

Yes. Click Edit at the top of the resume preview, then click into any bullet and rewrite it in your own words. The side-panel placeholders still cascade live; everything else is plain editable text.

Click Download. The page builds the PDF in your browser on the spot. No print dialog, no signup, no server in the loop. The output is real vector text on US Letter, parsed by ATS systems the same way they parse any clean resume export.

Swap it in the side panel. The defaults lean Jira + Confluence + SAFe + Scrum + Kanban + Miro + DORA because that is the most common 2026 Agile Coach JD pattern, but every reference is a placeholder. Suggestion chips cover Azure DevOps, Rally, and Targetprocess for Agile tooling, LeSS, Nexus, Scrum@Scale, Spotify model, and Disciplined Agile for scaling, XP and Lean for complementary frameworks, Mural and FigJam for facilitation, and SPACE, Flow Framework, and cycle time for metrics. Tap the chip, the resume rewrites across every mention.

Agile Coach is the senior, multi-team version of the Scrum Master role. The day is coaching several Scrum and Kanban teams at once, coaching leaders on Agile decision-making, designing transformation roadmaps, running large-scale events like PI Planning, mapping value streams, and shaping team topologies. The Scrum Master template stays inside one or two teams: events, impediments, backlog support, team-level coaching. The Program Manager template runs a fixed program with scope, schedule, vendors, and stage-gate delivery. If your day is coaching leaders, coaching teams of teams, and moving the org toward Agile maturity, pick this one.

No. Hiring managers screen on substance: the teams you coached, the leaders you shifted, the transformation roadmap you delivered, the flow metrics you moved, the value streams you mapped, the team topologies you reshaped. Layout origin is not on the rubric. What does cost interviews is generic Agile coaching phrasing that names no framework, no event, and no outcome, which this template is built to prevent. The skeleton came from a former Google recruiter; the substance stays yours.

Why trust this template

Emmanuel Gendre, former Google recruiter and tech resume writer

Former Google recruiter · Tech resume writer

I built this Agile Coach template from the patterns I saw work, not from generic Agile coaching advice. Below is the data behind every bullet, skills line, and metric placeholder.

  • Experience 500+ Agile Coach and Senior Scrum Master resumes screened across retail and investment banking, payments, insurance, healthcare-tech, and enterprise Agile transformation programs during my Google recruiter years and at TechieCV. The Profile Summary and Skills sections mirror what survived the 6-second screen.
  • Expertise Bullets modeled on senior offers. The Capital One section is structured the way Lead and Principal Agile Coaches write their experience when they land scaled-Agile bank, fintech, and enterprise SaaS interviews: division scope with train and team count, multi-team coaching with dependency reduction, leadership coaching with director and VP coverage, transformation roadmap with milestone hit rate, mentoring volume with workshop cadence, flow metrics with before-and-after deltas, and PI Planning at scale.
  • Trust Stack reflects the 2026 hiring bar. Jira + Confluence + SAFe + Scrum + Kanban + Miro + DORA is what hiring managers expect today; suggestion chips cover realistic alternatives (Jira Align, Azure DevOps, Rally, Targetprocess, Notion, SharePoint, LeSS, Nexus, Scrum@Scale, Spotify model, Disciplined Agile, XP, Lean, BDD, Mural, FigJam, Open Space, Retromat, SPACE, Flow Framework) so you can match your real toolchain without losing keyword fit. Certifications round out the page: CTC, CEC, SAFe SPC, SAFe RTE, ICAgile ICP-ACC, ICAgile ICP-CAT.
